Lyla was writing a list of words, so I took some of those words and wrote sentences for her to read. I helped her at first with sounding out, but here are the sentences she read:
- Silly Lyla. Donuts are for Daddy.
- Donuts are not for Rowan.
- Donuts are not for Mommy.
- Donuts are not for Rapunzel.
- Donuts are for Daddy.
Then she said, "Can I have a donut, Daddy?"
And I said, "Write it in a sentence."
Nice of her to include her brother.
